Default pacecar style front spoiler

Hi all, I'm new to this site and need some feedback: I intend to put a pacecar style spoiler on my '77. anything special I should know before ordering? ie. one piece, three piece, fastening tricks etc...
Thanks, Mark

What size tires are you running up front. 15x60x255 might rub if it's a Indy 3-piece, the two piece might give alittle bit more room but not much. Before you buy one you better go turn your wheels all the way to left and right and check to see what kind of clearance you have.

The factory 3 piece is flexible- very good w/ low clearance.
The Indy ft. spoiler designed for our Vettes w/ wind tunnel scoops up air for cooling, cleans up airflow underneath & sweeps the airflow around the front tires.
Rec. for all 68-79 ! I put mine on as soon as possible, so early that the paint matches & it appears original.

I got the 1-piece from Eckler's. You have to re-use part of your original spoiler when you install this one, installation is a piece of cake.

I have a copy of both the 1 piece and 3 piece sitting on my desk. I cant decide which one looks better. What are the pro's and con's for each? What made you choose one over the other?

The 1-piece fiberglass spoiler is cheaper, it's easier to paint (it comes with primer already on it)... I extended the upper corners a little to blend it into the fenderline...

On the other hand ... fiberglass can break ....

Sometimes the ends of the 3-piece don't match up exactly after installation....

Hey Brett - long time no talk

RedBad1979 - I like the way yours looks but I dont think that I want to (could make it look that good) try extending the edges. I remember when you originally posted with your pics. I think that it looks great.

Default spoiler

OK thanks guys, I guess I'll go with one piece. I really like the idea of extending the corners (thanks RED'79) I will also go with goodyear 255/60 15 . So I will let you all know and I will post pics (soon as I can figure out what "paste" "drag" "upload" "download" mean)

skydaddy and tunnelback,

it is really a very easy job to extend the corners - it's only fiberglass. I used some mini files to get the stuff in shape

here's another photo (the tire sticks out because at that time I experimented with spacers) :
