Default Think I'm Gonna Cry (Update)

Some of you may remember my woefull story of Roadway Trucking Co damaging during shipping, the fully machined race prepped SB400 shortblock I bought. Well...after two months of constant hounding, mounds of claim forms, numerous unanswered emails and phone calls, the settlement check finally came. I got full purchase price + shipping as a settlement. Good?? yes...but for me to duplicate what they ruined will take much more than the purchase price. I got that set up for a song... Watching that block being taken away for scrap was enough to make a grown gearhead cry.
Anyway...I recently purchased a standard bore 400 block that is going into the machine shop very soon...so I will be off and running again with project 406. I am studying up on building, and absorbing all I can.
Be warned...Lot's of stupid engine build questions soon to come
Eddie

Glad to hear that you will be back at it.And I will be looking forward to your (stupid engine build questions) I also just purchased a standard bore 400,and have been reading John Lingenfelters book On Modifying Small-Block Chevy Engines.Check that one out if you haven't already.
My block is a 4 bolt main.I thought that was great. Then I read that the 2 bolt main would have been a better choice.Crap,oh well!Bought a Callies forged crank off ebay. Now no more money,so plenty of time to learn where to go from here. Good Luck
