A little while ago I found a black wire with some kind of rubber connector just sitting on the exhaust manifold melting itself. It goes back to a connector with the green wire for the ac compressor clutch, but just goes back into the wiring harness from there. There is also a balck wire with a connector and pigtail that isn't attatched to anything either. I'm assuming they're both grounds, but does anyone have any idea what they're supposed to be attatched to?

Not for positive...But....check under the passenger side exhaust manifold near cylinder # 6...(8 6 4 2),,,,See if there is a brass/plastic temp sending unit there missing a connector. If so...that IS NOT for the temp gauge. The temp sensor is on the driver side. It is something to do with retarding the timing until the engine warms up to a certain temp. My L shaped connector was melted also. Found it sorta like you did. Most say it is not needed anyway !

Reason: spelling !
is that pressure swith something that might have been removed for a R-134a conversion? I had to replace an ac line last summer and don't remember any connections on them, the conversion was done before I got the car.
the connector on the left side of the pic looks like it goes to the compresor and that short wire is a ground.
the presure switch is right on the inner fender near the compressor. just follow the hard lines and you should see a plug.
if your ac is currently working then these connections were probably bypassed or wired some other way.
