With the speedometer buried at 140, don't know what the following setup might be capable of. The car is a 79, 4speed, stock rear, engine is a ZZ4 with roller rockers 1.6, hot cam, holly 750 and headers. Not sure of the HP hi 300s+, near 400? Any one with this setup with a speedometer that reads above 140? Any quesses?

I would be afraid to go 140+ mph in mine---(picture a dragster style blow-over on the highway )----without some aerodynamic mods.
I bought a new 77 and took it to Germany (military assignment). On the Autobahn, I had it up to a little over 130 - really starts feeling like you are floating. Not enough guts to push it any further. (don't think it had much more anyway)
New engine, tempation took hold for test drive. Will push it on Pocono Raceway this fall. All new suspension(under 2yrs) heavy duty coils up front. At Pocono last year the original L48(with headers) managed 110mph on 1700ft straight away. Assuming the speedometer is still accurate. Some of the fastest cars were turning 125-(140 new Ferrari). Wondered what this setup might produce, oh yea then that business of turning at the end of the straight!
