That should be some stance when you get them mounted. Can't wait to see some pictures.

I will definately post pics when I get them, I am just keeping my fingers crossed that a dock worker doesn't help himself to them on their way downunder.

OK, just want to clarify w/ the 15", since not many posted on them...

If going w/ the 15", will the TTII's fit or is the "D" style needed for the shape of the spoke (aren't they both curved?)

What wheel width (and backspace) is recommended for my 235/70/15 Front and 275/60/15 Rear tires (both creeping-up on 28" diameter)? These tires still have PLENTY of meat on them, so hate to trash them, plus I like the full wheel well look.

* I have the VBP fiberglass monoleaf spring and e-brake brackets have been removed...'76

Thanks for the clarifications / recommendations!

I am thinking about going 17x8's front and 18x8's rear although I swore I definately would not when I started looking but I figure if I can cram some 255/45R18's under the rear and 245/45R17's up front there will still be a bit of sidewall and a decent rolling diameter, the rear will actually be a perfect 27.0", same as original, the front 25.7" a little smaller than the 26" I was hoping for but the 550 front springs will hopefully lower it a bit in front to compensate......

Here's a pic of mine with 17x8 on the front and 18x10 on the rear.

I just bought 17x8 Hopsters w 255/50/17 Riken tires! The front rub on the rear in the finder well when full lock L/R! A 215/50/17 clear , but really like the wide tire, plus a 215 is shorter, Im hoping to cut it back and not cause damage or cause it to crack?? Hope this may help?? Any thoughts on cutting in side back ?? Thank you!!

Jughead, I have always liked the way you made your car. It has a great vette profile.

Before you do anything take a look at a '78 Pace Car. The front fenders were trimmed at the factory to clear the 255/60-15s which are about the same size as your 255/50-17s. This way you get an idea of what you have to do. If you don't want to start trimming fenders you can drop down a tire size, Try a 245/50-17 or a 245/45-17 rather than going with a 215/50-17.
