Bracing for convertible conversion

Does anyone have a pic or something to show where you would use braces for a convertible?

I will be doing a 80 and I have been told there are braces around the wind shield and doors.

I too would be interested in this information. I am actually planning on building my own reinforcements to stiffen things up slightly.

Brant I don't know what additional bracing is required but you are welcome to come by my house and compare my 75 vert to your 80.I live in Batavia not to far from Mason.

They are all shown in the GM service manual.

The A.I.M. manual for an early C3 Convertible should help. Also, some of the Corvette salvage yards may have the braces, or perhaps they still are available from the Corvette Parts Houses.

You are going to need new window glass, a rear decklid, etc. A lot of stuff. Good luck. Maybe you have a donor Vert to help out?
