Default Door Lock Cylinders

Can I get a key made that will work with my existing door locks? I don't have a key to be able to open the doors from the outside. I have the lock cylinder out of the car 'cause I am cleaning up the windows channel guides etc.

Take the lock cyl. to a locksmith. Normally easier to use take the lock cyl. from glovebox/storage.

Ganey is right just take the cylinder to your local locksmith. Had to do mine last year think it was around $20.

You would think it was easy. I took my lock cylinder from the glovebox to a locksmith and they looked at me like I had lobsters comming out of my ears and said they could not cut me a key for it. Come on, the lock code is located on the cylinder itself but they still looked at me like I was crazy. I am still waiting till I can go down to Denver to a reputable locksmith and have it done down there.

I bought a pair of lock cylinders for my 77 at autozone for $13.99. They look and work great.

On ebay for $25 you can get the ign cylinder lock, two door locks and a pair of keys that fit all three, all brand new. Easy install.

I agree with Ganey, the GM dealer can take the cylinder apart recode or cut new key and put a new chrome or black cap on your existing cylinder.I did the ones on my 74 that way.I don't know how much they will charge. If your good friends with the parts manager he will cut you a deal.
