Make stock muffler louder
Is there a good way to tinker with my stock muffler on my '79 to make it louder, or should I just straight pipe it? I'm looking for a real aggressive sound, opinions needed.

I knew a guy who drilled holes in the rear of his stock mufflers. He put a 1/4 inch hole in the bottom of each muffler like a drain hole. Used a long 12 bit, made them louder but sounded to me like a hole in his mufflers. I would just replace the stock w/a nice set of performance mufflers, and take off the stock cat.

Aren't they drilling holes in the mufflers of new vettes to get a "more aggressive" sound?
