Default Anyone got a tape measure?

I'm having issues again with the radiator

it wont fit and its the same one I pulled out

I made some measurements of the support and the radiator itself

O/D of the support 'tabs' on the support is 27 1/2 "
I/D is 25 1/2"

On the radiator, the O/D of the mounting place is 27 1/4"
while the I/D is 26 1/2"

somethin doesnt add up here, when I go to toss it in the car, the tabs seem to be too close together and the radiator wont line up. it's like its at an angle, one side goes into the tab, the other rests on the ledge

any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Radiators have been known to skrink not swell when removed from the core support. A well documented fact on the NCRS board.

What about taking the support out, attaching the radiator and installing like that? I've read of that being done too.

If it fit before it's got to fit again.

When I put my radiator back in my new support I had to bend the lower brackets a little. It was not much at all for proper alignment.

It was the top brackets that was very hard to get the bolts in. I had to compress the new upper and lower rubber inserts along with the new radiator seals.

Did you change the radiator support? And may be get the wrong one.
If it is the same stuff you took out it should go back together.
