Interior lights

78 Vette, Interior light work if I turn light switch all the way clockwise, however in normal position they do not come one when doors open. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Do the lights come on when only ONE door is open, which one?
Do the lights come on when both doors are opened?

Sounds like I woud start with the door switches

Sounds to me like the door ajar switches, the door open switches or wiring to either would be the culprit. I've replace all four switches on my '73.

Lights do not come on when either door is opened, will start with the door switches first. However my thought was it would be unlikely both switch would go bad at the same time.

Check grounds,clean bulb contacts....

Does your car have the ZX2 Convenience Group option with the delayed interior light function? If so, the delay timer may be bad.
