I was parked outside a store in my Corvette Orange "77 Cpe. which was near the park. A minivan pulled up in front of me with little boys (5or 6yr.old) the first kid out, initially focused onthe park stops and yells "Oh my God! look at this car! its a race car. and the other ones followed suit. The Mom says "I think your driving there dream car" I said: "Mine too, I was about 10yrs old in 1977 and 29 yrs later I got one."
You reckon you guys get attention ? Try driving a C3 around here in England - now that's getting attention . A much rarer sight for the public over here.

Yes, a much rarer sight here Down Under in Australia too.
However I have noticed lately people seem a little hesitant to show there interest in the car - possibly because I look young and am female.

Thailand eh? They're doing a great job of hiding their male "bits" aren't they ?
Cosmic - no mystery there - we men are the same the world over - faced with looking at a young female or a Vette (or any car really) it's usually no contest - female every time.

I would be a nervous wreck driving my 68 in England... roads are way too narrow and they drive like bats out of hell coming inches from other cars. Been there, done that, no way in a Vette!
You have to admit that C3's are some of the most unique looking cars ever made. Its actually funny how some people almost break their necks trying to look at the car as you pass them... kids and grownups alike!
Here is the thing: If I had been behind that minivanin a $110,000 911 or a $98,000 500sl or virtually anything else for that matter those kids would have walked right by. it took a $6,000 C3.
