i may as well ring in here since i have a 75 also.
it was a stock l48,the gutless wonder.
sell the th400 and get a 350 turbo.this alone will give you a few extra ponies.the parts you pull off will sit forever.save heads and the like but the good leftover weatherstrip can go.you will never re-use it.
To put it back to real nice shape(no steeroids,coilovers or the like)and working real nice you will be in about 13000$ in parts.thats what i've got into mine,and it had only 30,000 miles on it.
it seems a lot of money to put out, but go new car shopping with that much money tax included and you're buying a hyundai or a kia,not even a sunfire.
