Default Trim tag

Saw a trim tag on ebay that said "special paint" instead of a numbered paint code. Ever see such a thing???

...in all my "Corvette Travels" to various shows since '87, I've probably seen 12-14 of these tags. Different versions say "SPEC", "SPL" or "PRIME". I know of two 1975 Corvettes in my area alone that are both "SPEC" cars.

Hey Paul...missed you in Orlando! I filled your slot on the 73-74 Chassis team...we had three 73s and all three worked the hell out of us. Undercoating/overspray issues!

What's the story behind the atar?

They are either cars that were delivered in primer or were painted a non-corvette color as a special order.

Nice seeing you again Tom, if I'd known there was going to be some '73s at Orlando, I would have put my name in to judge.

Hey Mike:

Yeah...I take they stretched the judges around and most of us ended up judging both days. Seemed to be plenty of cars.

...Tom, yeah haven't been to Orlando for a couple years now(2001 & 2002). Probably only going to do the Indiana Regional as my only regional for this year. Yeah, I do know about issues . Been there, done that.

...kinda funny on the judging for two days. Seems as though the years I went to Orlando they had too many judges compared to cars being judged-then you were fortunate to get two days of judging.

...the avatar is just a beautiful French newscaster who I think is absolutely gorgeous(as does everyone else who e-mails me weekly about her).

...you guys going to get the National in '08???(Myrtle Beach?).....really DO NOT want to do Boston in '07.

We were shot down a year ago at March board with $40k on the table in sponsorships...we'll being doing Boston at the Best Western for $89 a night! That was the bottom line.

You are right about being fortunate to get one day of judging at Orlando...crowds were down. Mecum was down the road 11 miles which split the crowd.
