Help Please! Failed state inspection due to "no high beam and turn signal indicator lamps". I have lights on speedo and tac. Must be the center cluster between. Any help would really be appreciated.
Frustrated in Houston.
assuming you checked the bulbs, i would next try to clean the connections. Mine have gotten corroded in the past and need some contact cleaner and a little filing to clean up. Sometimes the connector is just shot. You can get replacements at most auto parts stores. Just cut the old one off and splice the new on. You might need to spray some contact cleaner on your high beam switch.
Did the high beams and turn signals ever work for you?
Edit: are you saying they failed you for the indicators on the dash not working. **** retentive bastards. You'll have to tear apart your dash. Or just take the damn thing somewhere else.

The High Beams and Turn signals work fine. Just the dang indicater lights between the spedo and tac. Would each of these have a seperate bulb? Does the blinker/high beam switch in the column control these idicators? Just looking for a place to start finding the problem.
probably just bulbs. My high beam indicator didn't work either when I got the car, and that's what the problem was. If you take the tach/speedo cluster out, I'd suggest replacing every bulb while you've got it out.
I had the same problem on my '75. Turn signals and emergency brake work fine on the car but not the lights in the dash. Turns out the brake light bulb was out of position (it came out of its hole) and the right turn signal light was burned out. I couldn't reach them though w/o pulling the drivers side of the dash. Not fun.
