I really like the one I got at Sears, don't know what brand, but it has a hose that quick connects to the gauge, works great. I don't think there is much difference between brands as far as accuracy, the important thing is getting uniform readings on all cylinders. If you are using the same gauge for all, it really would not matter much if it's off a little.

Mine is just like the 05520 Mityvac unit. The pro kit looks great but I don't really need all the stuff it comes with.

make sure you buy one that will hold the higheset compression reading until you push a valve to release the pressure

I ended up with the mityvac pro set. since im always helping people
in my garage i figured it would be best to have one that can handle everything thrown my way plus it has the adaptor for doing the valve seals.

while i was at it i ended up buying a ball joint press with the 4 wheel drive cups which will also do brake pins and U-joints.
i figured since the corvette has 6 joints it will come in handy and my dodge pickup has the pressed in joints and with this tool i can replace them right on the truck or so im told.

thanks again for the input
