hurst shifter
hi, what model of hurst shifter could i fix on my manual 4 speeds trans t-10? i want something that can be bolted onto the trans streight away without mods...has anybody pics of a t-10 with a shifter fixed? thanks/Giu

Ecklers sells a Hurst Shifter Kit #A5833 for $339.99. You can problably shop around and beat that price. Bolts right up in the stock location. You can even get a new shifter handle that looks stock for it.

Seems to me I paid less than 200 bucks for my Hurst Competition Plus shifter at Summit racing. Give them a call 800-230-3030 and they will tell you the correct part number. Fit perfect and works great.

Stock shifter bolts to the crossmember (stock location) while the Hurst bolts to the transmission.
Panic:
I am using a Hurst Comp/Plus shifter and kit with an aftermarket stock shifter handle (not cheap). I love it.
ST-10 on my '76.
Not a real pain to install, DIY in your garage, but be wary of the GM style hair pins that go through the linkage at the rods. If you don't have them seated correctly all the way, they will fall off!
