look like old motorcycle shocks..probably worked as well........
...the company was Four Way Suspensions...they were into off road racing suspension parts for sand buggies,baja bugs,trucks, etc...they tried to get into Corvette "shock absorber" market....think to compete with other performance shock companies...
I went with a kit of my '77 from VB&P and it included 550# front and 360# rear mono springs -- and as part of the kit, Billsteins where the shock included.
It's like anything, the shock is going to depend on how the rest of the suspension is setup and how soft/firm ride you want. I drive corners with near zero lean these days (I do not autocross, but I might try it now) and the Billsteins do a great job in suppressing the spring bounce. The car hits a bump, and I feel it, but it doesn't upset the car or throw the balance off like you may find in a softer shock.
Billsteins on a stock spring might be worse than Billsteins on a 470# and up spring.
