t-tops leak

t-tops leak
hi i am the proud new owner of a 73 stingray, first time corvette owner. the t-tops leak on the drivers side rear. can anyone tell me if i should try and replace the weatherstrip myself or have it done. thank scott.

What i've read on the formum indicates that whether you do it yourself or spend tons of money to have it done, it may not get done right. The best wisdom I've heard that if you do it, disassemble the TTops, do the weather strip and set them in place, re-assembling them while they're in place, therefore applying pressure straight down. In other words, the sin that many make is that they do the weatherstip the slide one end in and latch 'em down causing the new weatherstrip to "roll" as it's pushed into place.

its ....ez to install..i bought the entire set for my 73 a year or so back we had a group purchase...... never doing it before i tackeled it and was done whinthin a hour and a half..get the t tops adjusted snug and it shouldnt leak,,,but dont worry,,, most of these cars leak ,,some worse than others,..o --ya -- WELCOME!!------YOU PICKED THE BEST YEAR,,
