before i got the vette, i owned 13 mustangs, and raced a few of em in NMRA...i had a 89 GT 347 stroker with some go fast goodies...it put me 10.3@138mph without the giggly gas...i ran upon a newer looking lambo (the one that looks futuristic dont know the name) and we kinda played here in texas on I35...we went from a 60 punch and i took him by 6+cars i quit counting after i couldnt see him hardly in the mirror..he pulled back up gave the thumbs up...he pulled over and chatted with me for a bit...real cool dude! and nice car to boot!
It's just a baby Lambo Gallardo that is. Now you know why the PR says the Corvette isn't trying to compete with the Viper, they're obviously capable of kicking azz and taking names in a higher category
if you actually watched the entire video you'd see that the lambo was WOT
same with the Z06.. there were two perspectives of that race, one cam from the lambo, one from the Z
I'm not really convinced... they were accelerating and slowing down but it seemed to be in sync with the videotaping and no exclamation 'oh ****' or 'damn!!!' from the lambo guy.
More like a set up 'mock' race to me where noone cared about who won.
Even race car drivers test driving cars let loose with some exclamation or laugh as they shift into higher gear against another driver just for fun.
Their attitudes are too casual with adrenaline on high during a race... but I could be wrong, tho, maybe Lambo guy forgot to take his sugar pills.
Nevertheless, Corvette in the straights and Lambo in the twisties...right?
