Default Dealer tracking

I'm trying to find the origional dealer for my '68. The build sheets shows dealer #480. Does anyone know how to find which dealer a car came from?

Thanks, Andy

What is the Zone number listed on the sheet? You should also see a Zone number as well as a Dealer number. Dealer numbers within each Zone are different.

Dealer 480 in Zone 29 would be different from Dealer 480 in Zone 13.

Default Zone number

Chuck,

The zone number is 23. Do you have a source to look this up?

Many thanks!

Dealer 480 isn't listed, but zone 23 is Oklahoma/Texas area. Check this out, let's not keep it secrete.http://www.ncrs.org/dealercode/dealerzone.html If anyone can add to it, great. Only way the info gets out there.

Default Found it !!!!!

This is a great site. I put in just dealer #480 and a few dealers came up. One was zone 28. After looking at my build sheet closer the 23 indeed was 28. The dealer listed is 5 miles from where I live. Unfortunatley they are no longer in business; it's now a dry cleaner. It's great to find more detail about my car; it's like a treasure hunt!!

Yep, Zone 23 was the Oklahoma City zone. Now closed.

You might try Triple A, the window sticker repro business. He has a large database of info, BUT you gotta buy a window sticker.

Al Grenning also has a data base. Not sure what you have to do to get the info, IF he has the info on your particular dealer. Chuck

OOPS, should have read closer. Zone 28 was the Cleveland, Ohio Zone. Chuck
