I am in the process of purchasing a 1975 corvette from from a buddy of mine who needs the garage space to house his new RV. It needs some TLC and some bits and peices here and there, but I have always wanted a C3 corvette and now I have the opportunity to own one. I have been doing some reading of the posts here for a few days, and I have notcied that there is a wealth of information here, so I combine that with a wealth of cash to get this car where I want it to be, and I can have a C3 worth having. Glad to be here!
Congratulations and welcome. How can you be friends with someone who sells a Corvette to make room for an RV? Well, I guess it's forgiveable if he sells it to you.
Yeah, I think I can forgive him in that case. He also has to make room for his Porche that is coming up from Florida this summer. Anyway, his loss is my gain, and I am no stranger to dumping a bunch of money into a car, I am going to have big plans for this car once I figure out what needs to be done to it, and what I want to achieve from the car.

I took alook at your car and noticed the two stipes on the left fender. What is the story behind that?
From what I understand that is a racing thing. From what I heard teams would sometimes have two or more Corvettes racing so they would put stripes on the fender to help them differentiate which car was which.
Some guys put them on their cars now for looks more than anything. Kind of an asthetic nod to the racing 'Vettes.
Maybe someone can clarify further if I am mistaken.
