I have a 73 Vette that has a bad VIBRATION in the rear. It sounds like the panel behind the rear window is vibrateing. Has anyone had this problem? If you did what did you do to solve it?

Rear tire ballance? a weight may have come off.

I had a vibration like that also in the rear panel. About a year ago, I had a tire come apart. The belts broke or something and the tread looked like the roof of an RX-8.
I couldn't see it on the car, but it was sure noticable off the car.
The car also wanted to jump sideways slightly at real slow speed, like 5 mph, almost like a u-joint had frozen. Replaced tire, it all went away.

I had a vibrating noise that would not stop, until I was filling up on gas one day I looked at the lid and it didnt have any rubber pads on it...found some cork pads that you use on kitchen cabinet doors and put it on the gas lid to prevent metal to metal....no more annoying vibrating....
