I installed the water pump and alternator tonight to check for alignment. I had to shim the crank pulley, idler pulley bracket and blower pulley about 1/4". After that, the water pump and alternator lined up. I have not tried the power steering yet, that will be the mission for tomorrow night.

That's been my biggest headache, no aftermarket water pump pulley I tried lined up with the crank and alt. pulley. Ended up using a stock waterpump pulley. One of the problems I've found is the grooves in the crank pulley are closer together than those on all the water pump pulleys. Had to use a 1/4" spacer behind the driven blower pulley also.....

my problems a little differnt. Iwent with an electric pump but if you look you can see that the water pump outlet ( about 7 oclock )will point right into the blower belt.

Thanks!
They give me the basement and keep the upstairs for themselves. It is a good araingement.

So far, it looks like the waterpump outlet is going to be ok. The thermostat housing outlet, however, might be a little different story. I did purchase a thermostat housing relocation kit just incase this was an issue. We'll see if I need it.

Why Panchop are you having a problem. Running the accessories out front makes it easy.
I might still have a waterpump pulley, a billet one that is correctly spaced for the front take off of the accessory belts.
Forgive the old messy picture.
I have run it exactly like this since 1999

Panchop I like those headers. Are they for side exhaust?

Hey guys, the Weiand manifold looks like the thermostat is mounted in the same location as my Holley 420 Megablower. I don't have the part number of the housing that was supplied with mine, but I'll bet Summit has it. It will get you around the belts like so....

I never had an issue with the thermostat housing. I used the exact same one as on my nitrous motor and with the pulleys out front it isn't even close.
