Don't have the price difference with me, (I think about $500) I'll edit the post tomorrow. the 350 hp got a forged crank, forged pop-up dome (11:1 v 10.5:1) pistons, lumpier cam, bigger (2.02/1.60) valves, valve cover and air cleaner up-grades. Manual trans. only. Redline was bumped from 5,300 to 6000. The price difference was $105.35 in '68...$131.65 in '70.. What a deal...
LT-1 used Holley carburetor (GM rated 800cfm, Holley listed 780cfm), L-46 used Rochester Quadraject, LT-1 used aluminum high rise intake manifold, L-46 used cast iron medium profile intake manifold.
Don't believe all the BS that Chevy put out about HP numbers. GM frowned on high published HP engine numbers. The LT-1, like other high perf engines of the day, were under rated (hp wise).

That's correct...The hood was a nice looking upgrade with the LT - 1 motor. I have owned both and the LT-1 motor showed a nice difference in acceleration and torque as compared to the stock 300 hp...(1970) Today the base motor is more friendly with today's gas octane.
