Harmonic Balancer size

what size is the balancer on a 78 350/4 speed car.
i see 8" and 6" listed.

Go with whatever size you're replacing. Otherwise your stock timing tab will not align correctly. My 79L82 auto uses the 8".

i would go measure it but the car is all covered and snug in the garage. i wanted to add it to the list of parts i am buying before spring but i guess it will have to wait for a measurement.

I was thinking the L48 had 6 3/4" and the L82 had 8" ????

Actually I was thinking it was 6 1/2" but you might be right. I thought 6" even didn't sound right but it's been 2 years since I messed with the balancer
