C3 Black Cherry color???

C3 Black Cherry color???
I searched high and low and I can't find it....remember that c3 that was black cherry that was a coupe made into a vert?? anyone remember? I want the paint code so I can shoot some test panels before I make my final decision on the color.

Black Cherry may have been an Eagle color from right around 1990. My '90 Talon was Black Cherry metallic, I think I'm going to use some of the touch-up paint on a model C3 body to see how it looks. I really, really love that color.

like the rest say.. it may be another make color. no vette has been painted black cherry. Personally if I were going to a non-original color I'd opt for the '05 Daytona sunset orange

I think the Eagle black cherry color is a bit darker than that. It looks good, though.

Take a look at the bottom left corner and see if that's what you're looking for. And in case the link doesn't work, I picked off paint code numbers as follows: FM9 and 4043. I forget which company is which but any body shop can take it from those numbers and get you the formula.

By the way, I was doing some PR work in the early 90's for a Dodge dealer when a transport with 6 Black Cherry Caravans rolled in. It probably was a fleet purchase, but all those mini-vans in that unusual color sort of stuck in my head.

The best way to find out for sure what color 1Fine69's car is, is to shoot him an email. If I am not mistaken it was a color off of an import car. I just don't remember which model right now. Search the archives for his user name or PM me and I can give you what was his email address. I haven't talked with him in a couple of years.

Cadillac used Cherry Black on the first year frontwheel drive (1985 or 86??) Fleetwoods. It looks like the color on the pics. It looked black from one angle and dark cherry from another.
I had one. Should be recent enough to get a code number. Great color...got lots of positive comments.
