wife asks what i wanted for our 13th anniv. i think i wanna get msd box and blaster2 coil...any of you guys have pics so i can see where you installed yours. i have a 71BB if it matters..

I mounted mine on the front of the radiator support behind the front grill on the passinger side. Gets plenty of cool air. Been there for about eight years with no problems.

I would recommend the MSD
Blaster High Vibration Coil over the Blaster 2. Blaster 2 is oil filled and susceptible to burning out the coil winding if it is not mounted vertically with no slant. the MSD High Vibration is filled with an epoxy I believe and is more durable. Only about $10 difference in price.

The windings of the High Vibration Coil #121-8222 are completely encased in a premium epoxy making it impossible for vibration to affect the windings. I put mine (blaster coil & MSD digital 6 plus) on the passenger side wheel well below/behind the radiator expansion tank. Can't see it in the photo, but the coil is on the firewall across from the windshield washer can. I can get to these by removing the grill behind the wheel. (That's my Ford remote starter solenoid...
