Default Bench seat

Has anyone ever put a bench seat in a vette. Any Ideas in how difficult this would be?

Batsy you sound... errr... umm.... BATSY!

Why?

Post pics if you do...

Seems hard with the transmission tunnel and other important stuff in the middle.

You could just add the factory back seat if you need more room.

No way with the transmission tunnel being there unless you want to convert to FWD or shim your body up a foot or two.

There is a lot of room in the back of my 63 coupe - could probably put one there pretty easily - it would have to be some pretty short people, and not mind riding sideways to use it.

wasn't there a concept for a rear seated vette in 63? I think I remember reading an article about that in a magazine.

Yes there was. From what I heard was doing testing one of GM executive was trying it out on a hot summers day, and got stuck back there, and trouble getting out. Needless to say after that it was canceled. But on a side note in 1964 Yenko Chevy created and sold a add on back seet. I believe on the forum members has one

Column shift? Bench seat?

You know...I have a '69 C-10 that came factory with a column shifter and bench seat. It's a real two-door, two-seater with room for a big block and huge tires, too.

I think you might have the wrong vehicle for your needs/tastes.

Column shifters and bench seats have no place in a sport car. You need to find an old sedan.

Default Stickshifts and Safetybelts Lyrics

Stickshifts and Safetybelts Lyrics
Artist(Band):Cake

stickshifts and safetybelts,
bucket seats have all got to go.
when we're driving in the car,
it makes my baby seem so far.
i need you here with me,
not way over in a bucket seat.

I was curious what you guys would say! I don't really want a bench seat!

Thanks!!!
