'75 'barn find'
Congrats!!
Second...if you want new brakes...one of the supporting sponsors is Vette Brakes Products . They have the best price I have found for buying a "complete brake overhaul kit".
This kit even comes with brake fluid...not to mention; it comes with EVERYTHING needed to start off a complete brake resto for a barn find, especially if you think something *could* be wrong, or just want to *not take a chance*.
(there are other kits, dont be afraid to snoop their site)
VBP also has suspension parts...but at least take the time to look over all the supporting sponsors, if you do decide to buy from of the supporting sponsors, always click the link from this forum, and always mention you seen their advert. on this forum...never know when a discount will arise.
Get ready to spend TLC, time, and $$$ to revive your find...
I did not believe it when I was told that on this forum in Dec.2005...
I am kinda a perfectionists.
I can turn wrenches VERY well.
80's era on down were my era of cars to repair/my specialty.
I could fab. anything, and diagnose anything.
But, being a perfectionist that I am: I have 2K in parts alone...($300 in cleaning supplies as well) on a car that basically only needed a new power antenna, carb kit, and the rims polished...go figure.
lol
Complete brake kit including M/C
Goooooood Luck,
Jim
Dont rush into too much stuff at one time. Take your time, make a list, set a budget, and look at a lot of catalogs for what you need.
The brakes will probably be a good place to start. It doesnt matter how fast it will go, or how good it will look if you cant stop it.
