The mainist thing wrong is you have not personally inspected it.
That; and I think listing his reserve is a little suspect, then addd that he corrects the VIN stating "Up for auctions for the last time"..he should know the VIN...and obviously; his price is too high.
Too many parts missing from under the hood.
Probably not the original engine...(red intake and missing parts)
Sitting around in the snow zone is never good...but...maybe (just maybe) its a $4k car.
IMHO
we have a winner. i even contacted him about correcting his auction
but he has not made a move to change it.
makes me wonder what else he is hiding
For the protection of all the schmo's out there who don't know any better I'd report it as a fraudulent auction to e-bay. I bet they would be interested to hear about it.
Maybe it's just the photos, but the carpet doesn't look new. The hood doesn't fit right. For new paint, it looks dirty-see fuel filler photo. Maybe photo quality, maybe not. Also, if the hoses are not connected to the a/c compressor, figure lots of work to clean out the system before it has any hope of functioning-and a new compressor. Finally it's parked in a pile of snow next to a snow plow. Not sure it's fraud, but his definitions and mine might not match on several items-based on the photos. I'd definately want to see it before I bid on it.
