key blanks

i have look all over for gold color key blanks for the 76, would anybody have a lead on where i could purchase a set. i was surprise, none at ebay, thanks for any leads.

I have been in the lock industry for years and don't believe I have ever seen gold color blanks for older GM with the exception of Gold Cadillac Logo blanks. Check out some older hardware stores or locksmiths in the area and the may have something you are looking for.

76 project---- i have a set, when i first got the car in 95. a locksmith at the iola old car show was selling them. these are for the wife to match her key chain. i have look every place, and i thought i would try the forum. thanks for the reply

What letters are on the keys? My '77 keys have a "C" on the ignition key and a "D" on the door key.

c-on square d-on round they are gm keys with mark of excellance stamped into them. i got the keys made over 11 yrs ago. starting to show their age. thought i would get a new set along with a new key ring.

I'll see if I can find blanks around here. They won't be NOS GM keys unless I *really* get lucky.

I stopped at my local locksmith shop on the way home and purchased two brass keys. One square head "C" ignition key and one oval "D" door key.

I paid an entire $1 for both key blanks. Hows does $2 mailed to you sound? PM your name and address and I'll send them to you regular mail. Then just send me cash back thru the mail.

edit-- the keys are brass although they don't look like it in the picture.
