Could you all recommend a source for new pillar post trim ? I removed mine yesterday and they're pretty hammered at the tops. I'd like the replacements to be as close a look to stock as possible. I surfed Al Knoch's site but didn't find them listed there. Might not have looked hard enough though.
The cheapest price I could find is Wilcox's for a set of all three they run around $115.00. Heard a lot of good things about Wilcox as well. I will be trying them.
If at all possible, find a vendor that sells GM strips, or find them on eBay.
The aftermarket ones, specially the brand named SoftSeal, do not work worth a flip!
They are very hard - not soft like the GM ones. They do not seal, and they leak. It will be very hard to roll the windows up and you will spend days trying to adjust the windows to make it work.
I went this route and then realized that GMs are the only way. It is going to be 4 times as expensive, but it is worth every penny.
I believe that Ecklers sells the GM-original t-top strips - they run around 200.00 per side, the pillar posts, keep an eye on ebay - they always show up.
You may want to check on these two vendors also:
Melrose and Corvette Rubber - heard good things about them too.
