72- new spark plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, coil, set timing per lars and test drive.
also possibly...1975 install new inside hood liner, check timing, install wiper blade area cover.
Replacing original radiator, water pump and intake manifold with alum.
pieces. With the well known raw savage horsepower of the L48 Auto.
I sure hope I can keep front wheels on the ground when I am finished.
I'm finishing up repairs to my hood - hopefully mounting it to the body also.
Maybe I will look into getting some insurance on this for some fun .. 60s here in New England this weekend.
Still WAY too salty for me to break the vette out (soon).
working on getting a few last pieces off the motor of the '78 on Sat.
than on Sun driving all the parts down to a friends house to spend hours glass beading them to clean then up.
This evening I'm taking my new zaw saw over to my friends place, we're going to cut the rear fenders off a super beetle, then start baging on some sheet metal to fabricate some new floor pans for my car, depending on how that goes by Sunday the beetle will be sanded/primered, and the new floor pans will be welded into my car. We'll see how far it goes...
Hopefully I'll get the driver's side floor pan welded in (did the passenger's side the other night) on Saturday morning. At 3, I'll leave for Valdosta to catch the Hooters ProCup race at South Georgia.
1)Going for a ride in the country with the wife with the tops off (T-tops that is), 'cause the weather here is outstanding.
2) And after we get back and she is all nice and relaxed from the ride, I'm gonna try and convince her that I NEEED a '69 convertable 'vette because they are just SOOOO cool.
Finally going to replace my fuel sending / pump unit in my 2000 Silverado. Dealer wanted $700 to fix. I got the unit for $235. What a piece of garbage, too. Apparently these go bad on a lot of Chevy trucks, but GM's too cheap to recall. I've been driving around with a broken gas gauge for 3 years. Supposed to be warm this weekend...Ahhh!
