What's so cheap about that? You can get the same price at your local radiator shop.

these cars have enough cooling issues to begin with, i sure wouldn't go cheap on the radiator.
If you need to replace your radiator, call Tom Dewitt and get a decent one for the car. It will fit perfectly without issues and it will work great and keep the car running cool.
There are a lot of places you can try to cut costs on the car but I wouldn't consider the cooling system, or any safety system (such as brakes or steering) as one of them.

If you want cheap, pull the radiator out and take it to a local shop for a re-core.
Most over-the counter replacements are now aluminum/plastic cheapo radiators.
If you want to step up to a nice aluminum radiator, call Tom.
For copper, I would go re-core.

That seems like a decent price for a 4-core copper radiator.
Rockauto shows a 3 core copper at $188 and a 4 core at $277.
Sadly, the website states that a plastic/AL replacement may be
delivered, rather than the advertised copper/brass.
Stock SB will not need 4-core (2 or 3 is fine in most environments).

My 63 had a "low cost" radiator that had a large amount of copper content. I would occasionally have cooling problems in traffic. When I added "Vintage air", it was an imediate problem. I replaced it with an aluminum Dewitt unit, and haven't had any problems since.

I believe that you get what you pay for, and this is one item worth paying the extra money for problem free driving.

Good luck on you upgrade.

I just pulled my radiator and it's at the shop now. Probably going to have it re-cored for $200. Tanks and other parts are in great condidtion, plus I want to keep the car as original as possible. (No "NCRS" flames - It's a highly original LT-1).

Junkman104 - Tried PMing you to no avail. Happy with your Modine? Repro (looks original) or replacement (does not look original)? $132 is a great price, but I wonder about the quality.

It is a direct replacement copper 4 core radiator. My car is one of them low horsepower 81 L81. It cools the car fine with the a/c on. Granted it isnt 99 degrees in the shade summer time yet but I am pleased with it and sure it will do fine. Not sure how good it would be with a higher H.P. engine though. As for the price with no shiping it came from a radiator warehouse local here and I know a lot of people in the parts buisness in the area.
