I'm out looking at a 78' S/A, and found a L82 4speed with a dark blue interior.
One website I had stumbled across had only shown the "Silver 25th Anniversary" exterior matched with either Black, Red, or Oyster.
Can anyone verify that. (obviously because I want to find a correct color match on the car, and not get one that someone has modified).
The 13/07 paint silver anniversary interior choices black 19c cloth,192 leather. oyster 12c cloth 122 leather .medium red 72c cloth 722 leather. these were suggested colors . The customer could choose any color like silver 15c cloth 152 leather , dark blue 29c cloth 292 leather, light beige 59c cloth 592 leather ,dark brown 69c cloth 692 leather, mahogany 76c cloth 762 leather......lets not even talk about door panels because They shipped ,vinyl/carpet , cloth/ carpet some times even mixing them at random
kaamacat,
I have a buddy who bought a S/A brand new with the blue interior. I know it's very rare, but they're out there. If I bought a S/A I'd like to have the blue interior. I think it's a good looking combo and real hard to find another one like it at a car show.
If the car's right, buy it and post some pics
Best,
Greg
What does the trim tag say?
whats even more rare is a 78 not painted the 13/07 silver/dark silver. not that any one cares rarest colors ,52 yellow,59 light beige, 26 light blue,89 dark brown, 72 red , 83 dark blue, 82 mahogany, 13 silver, 10 white, 19 black,19/47 black/silver ........ ( number is color code) 15,283 were painted 13/07 total production including pace car 46,776 .....the 13/07 paint is the least rarest in all of c- production next to white

The bottom line is that those were "recommended colors" and the Corvette customer can order that which pleases him. This was true all the way through 2000. The Corvette policy has been that Corvette will build what the customer orders which conflicts with the GM policy.
So you will find 78 S/As with most of the available interior colors...mine is mahagony which I think looks great. Blue is also great.
