I am trying to find the wiper/washer lens that mounts to the bezel in front of the wiper switch on my 1975. I have called quite a few places with no luck, and I have searched the internet pretty thoroughly. I do not know what the part number is for this peice, which makes it harder to find. It is a plastic lens that has only two workd on it, wiper and wahser both in white. Please help.
As you've no doubt discovered, this vent assembly is one of the few parts that is not sold in the catalogs. I have no idea why. I was missing the entire assembly and was able to get it from a junkyard. The writing on the plastic piece was flaked off, but I was able to use white model paint and a toothpick to re-paint it. I took off any excess paint with another toothpick. The letters are engraved into the plastic, so this isn't as hard as it sounds. I also re-painted the metal piece that goes behind with some flat black, and now it looks like new. If you have the piece and just need to restore it, this may be a way to go.
Unfortunately mine is completely destroyed. The plastic has spiderweb cracks in multiple places and is cracked completely in half...I have noticed that no one seems to sell any of the components of that bezel...odd
I replaced that center duct assembly when I redid my interior. I will see if I still have the old one. If I do, it's yours.
Sorry, it's gone. I was lucky and found an NOS part on ebay when I was redoing the interior. I must have tossed it in the trash, because it was in bad shape.
