Please cut this kid/forum member some slack. I really don't think he is trying to be a smart arsh on his posts, that's just the way kids pock fun nowadays or he just doesn't know any better. It's us old farts and some not so old that really are taking too much to heart. Yellow73SB is really into this car/vette thing and I admire him for that at his age. Yeah he has more money available than most of us did at his age, and who knows what us old farts would have been like on the net 40+ years ago. but I still think he is really into it to learn and is passionate about the vette, otherwise he would just take the car down to a shop and pay out the money to get it all done.
Now flame me for defending him, hang in their Yellow73sb.
Ive actually noticed him trying harder in his last few posts to get along with everyone. Im impressed he does what he does and knows what he knows at his age.
It's the details that get ya... What's wrong with challenging him to use what's between his ears a bit more than what's under his nose?
I find it entertaining...
It's just the details... As an example... Like turning 16 a few days ago and then going SVRA racing next year... It just dont work that way. If he would read the rule book he would find out that there are VERY specific rules as to what you can and cant do by YEAR to cars and by specific engines. Let alone the fact that you need to be 18 to get a competition license.
I'm not trying to discourage the kid but there is a high probability of in some of his posts.
Money or Vettes doesn't give you maturity or brains at ANY age!!!
When I was young I was immature and said lots of stupid things just like the rest US, I didn't have a vette and was poor, but I was allowed to learn and grow up which this kid will do also.
Yep, websters defines "moot" as something open for discussion or debatable, betcha didn't know that.
i dont have websters on hand but as I know it and how every source i have now consulted agrees moot means something that has been previously settled or is of no importance or relevance

I admit I've given Chris a hard time - some when he's done something objectionable, some in jest. I know at least some of that has been misunderstood. It is good to see a young guy who wants to mess around with classic American-made muscle. I don't have anything against rice (I miss my old 91 and 90 Eagle Talon AWDs), but something about the raw power of a Chevy V8 is infectuous.
