Also how many times has it been bored. Is it in good condition, no sleeves, all the holes have good threads?

Bare block in need of machine work about 200 dollars. This has the same bore as a 454 which are very common. If you are looking to match numbers for a 427 expect to pay more. If you are just looking for a BB any 427 to 454 block will work.

Real 427 (short deck) blocks values have risen as the value of the cars that had these (and some/many that did not!). Actually, I think that '69 was the last year for 427's, so we have a span of casting dates ranging from late '65 to late '69 for the "true" 427's; just 4 short years! That's the bad news; the good news is that these 427's were used in hundreds of thousands of GM cars, and many were produced for service replacement and over the counter uses. As others have stated, casting numbers, 2 or 4 bolt configuration, casting date, stamp pad numbers/codes, lack of stamping, "CE" stampings, milling, bore, condition , repairs, etc., play a large role in determining value. E me what you have or are looking at, and I will try to give you a value "range" for this block. G.

As stated above it depends on what is stamped on the block and whether someone with an an rare older Vette can use that block, I have seen them go for $5000 ( that's right just the bare block )

If on the other hand they don't match anyone's $100,000+ collecters car they are worth about $200

Un-stamped pad (possibly purchased as a bare block) with clear broach marks.. Date code May 10, 1968 (E 10 8). I may E-bay it....see what kind of crazies are out there....

Hi

I am looking already for a while for a early ( first design ) 68 block 3916321 dated before Oct 67, so about H or I 67.
Don't care about the stamp pad.
Well, looks like that this blocks are hard to find and getting far too expensive now.
If you look for blocks dated for C2 , man, the prices are outranging.
The 2nd design 69/69 blocks seem to go for a bit less, God knows why.
I guess a 68/69 dated block with blank stamp pad with original broach marks would be a top find , exactly what a restorer would look for to create a clone car.

Anyway, 68435roadster , we had already contact regarding this.
If you have anything that fits my application ( even a 2 bolt one if the 321 was available as 2 bolt at all ? ) , let me know.
