my seats dont have that cut out in them... Do i have the wrong ones or are those just part of some option? Or is that possibly a different year pictured?
My 76 is all original and also does not have the "cut-out" in them. I have seen them both ways. It may have something to do with the deluxe interior. I have the deluxe interior.
OK, I wasnt sure what you meant before, but after looking closely at the brochure and my seats again, I dont have the cut out near the headrest. And my seats are original.

The cut is for the shoulder belt. On older models the seat belts were two pieces. The shoulder belt came through the seat and attached to the lap belt.

They are firethorn though which is 76 specific...
Here are the seats from the 75 brochure (page 5) - not a lot of detail. I have had this since I purchased a new 75 back in December of 74. I have the 77 brochure as well. (they are both well worn over the years).
