Show me your dipstick!
Oil dipstick that is!
I was thinking about changing out my stock oil dipstick to something a little more asthetically pleasing, so what are my options? I have seen some billet ones, but the all seem to need to be bolted to something. If you have one of these, where did you bolt it to?

your dipstick ain't working again eh ... need a stiffer one, too much flexability in your existing one?
in all seriousness mine broke last year so I have been looking at a few different ones as well. I'm looking into the flexible ones as I found that I kept bending my last one - no pun intended.

Don't know about "new" dipsticks, but if you want to check out "old" dipsticks, try the "car show" links on this site.

Some interesting "Alaska" rides on these pages....

Get your mind out of the gutter!
No one has any pictures of thier custom aftermarket dipstick?
This Milodon one looks pretty nice, but where are you supposed to bolt it to? Under an exhaust manifold bolt?

Do I smell a new group purchase? Now all we have to do is convince Lokar or BilletSpecialties into becoming supporting vendors!

They just plug straight into the block without the tube. See how short the dipstick is, the extra length needed for the tube is missing.

I wouldn't expect the header flange and bolt to be any hotter than the head. Haven't experience any issues due to heat. The "O" ring seal on the dip stick has not degraded.

I have a Moroso pan, how does that Milodon fit into the pan? Looks like it has a tube?
