Default Wavy rear bumper

I've always hated my wavy rear spoiler. Has anyone been gutsy enough to cut a pattern out of say 1/4 plastic bendable sheet and bond it up under the back side of the spoiler on later model c3's to keep the wave flat ? A new bumper would obviously be the resolution but i've heard problems with fitting up the new ones.

Unless your bumper is sagging do to a missing support, those waves are a permanent part of your bumper now and the urethane has gotten too hard after all these years to try and straighten small waves. A lot of these bumpers break apart when removing them from the car, they are so brittle. Obviously, replacement with a new bumper cover will fix the wave problem and rear bumpers are relatively easy to replace depending on how good the mold you get is. The one thing to consider is paint, how recent is your paint, or when do you plan on painting the car? If you replace the bumper, you need to find a talented painter that can match it to your car. Or just wait, and replace the bumper when you paint the car.
