Valve covers
I am going to take my valve covers off and let NAPA bead blast them for me. What kind of spray paint do I need to use, also, do I need to use a primer first? This is being done on my 81, thanks for any help.

I just the covers on my '78 L82
you can see there here valve covers
I glass beaded them first
than used 2 coats of primer than 3 coats of semi-gloss black.
I used the Eastwood Underhood black rattle can paint but Krylon #1613 semi-flat should work just as well (their semi-flat is basically the same as a semi-gloss)
Not sure about the '81 covers but my L82 covers have the top of the fins the natural bare aluminum so after painting and letting them dry I just used samdpaer on a block to go over the tops of the fins to remove the paint.
