Default U joints

Well bout to do the rear bearings.. and why not while im back there replace all the u joints .. havent since i bought the car... any recommendations on type/brand .. with strength in mind

spicer solid u-joints...don't use ones with grease fittings

#5-799x - 1/2 shafts. I have 1 set if you can't find them, but I expect there should be plenty in CA.

I have recently heard and read that NEAPCO Brute Force non-greasables are just as good as Spicers. I am getting ready to pull the tranny in my '78 for an overhaul so I am replacing all 6 joints then as well. Soooo, in preparation for this I have already picked up the U-joints. Advance Auto stocks them and they are reasonably priced at about 16 bucks each. They look pretty darn heavy duty to me, and as a bonus they still have the soft pliable boots as opposed to the hard plastic ones that Spicer recently switched to that tend to crack upon installation. That's my 2 cents.....
