Default L88 or Baldwin Hood?

I have ended up with two different hoods, and I am on the fence about which one to put on my 69, and which one to sell. What do you think? One is a baldwin style scooped, the other an Ecklers L88 short.

Definitely the Baldwin hood. It wil make your car stand out from the crowd even more than it already does.

I've always liked both of those hoods, it would be tough to choose.

Have you test fitted both of them? That may make it easier for you.

If they both fit well and you want to sell the one you don't use, let me know. Maybe we can work something out.

The baldwin hood is functional. I also have the cold airbox for the L88 hood, so it in essence is also functional.

I have test fitted the L-88 only. The L-88 is brand new from Ecklers (had it for about 2 years now, never installed), and is a little tight at the hinges, but otherwise great. The Baldwin I suppose I should test fit this weekend, but needs a lot of minor repairwork and some 'glasswork done. It has some stress cracks and chips (I circled them with a marker, which you can kind of see in the pic).

I guess I am the odd man here! I have always like the L-88 hood and the fact that it is functional is even better.

But it is your car, set each one on the car and stand back and decide which one is right for you.

I would use the baldwin hood, but you can't lose if you go with the L88 either!

The Baldwin is basically just a normal big block hood with a 67 stinger scoop grafted onto it. Looks kinda cheap to me. I prefer the L88, but it IS a LOT more common.

They both have drawbacks. They both have benefits.

I like the smoother lines on the L-88 hood. I think they go better with the lines of the C-3's

Paint both of them and swap 'em out when feel like a change. I have the L-88 on my Vette and I have always liked the Motion hood.

Maybe I can trade one of them in on a LS1/T56 combo. Any takers?
