In the short time I have owned a C3 I have stripped the interior to the walls and to the wires. I am slowly piecing it back together; about 2-3 hours a day. It should take me about two months to get the job done right. Top off, doors off, etc.

Each day I learn something new. While reading this forum I have become aware that so many here have had or are going through the same experiences. I have also come to ask myself these questions frequently: (1) Why did Bubba feel so compelled to cut and modify so many things and (2) why did all the previous owners so greatly disrespect her? I can't get over the amount of cobbling done just to the interior of this car. So many things broken, so many things poorly installed, so many things ignored. Nothing fixed correctly through the years. I would never disrespect any property of mine like the previous owners did to this convertible.

No one ever spent time with and took care of this old girl; they just partied with her and left her disrespected.

It irritates me and I know it irritates lots of you, too.

Hello
Taking the interior out and restarting will let you find any obvious Bubba errors. And some you did not want to find, but glad you did.
How about how my seat belts were secured.

What have you found?

LOL, now THATS funny. Sorry bout that, but some of this stuff just makes me laugh. Good that you found it before you needed it.
Mine has duct tape on the wires for the Wiper Motor, had scotch tape on the door lock switches and a rolled up matchboof under the cigar lighter

My vacuum actuater on my heater core was zip tied shut. I had been digging for months trying to figure out why couldn't get hot air out of it.

I wonder if the person working on the car after me thinks some of my hard work is bubba jobs. I hope not.

On mine the screw holes on the quarter panel mounts are all broken out. It took me an hour to clean out the three compartment area. The brackets at the ends of the sliders that go down the backs of the seats are cut off. Doors have been brazed poorly. No springs in doors. Seat frames bent and rebent back into shape. Holes in floor that don't belong there. All kinds of interesting wiring behind dash. Top dash was just sitting there, not mounted down. No working oil gauge. Two antenna wires: neither one hooked up. Fan switch for heater/ AC was broken inside switch. No protector on outside of door for glass. All kinds of incorrect screws holding everything on including 3 in wood screws in door panels. Incorrect ducting under dash held together with rotted duct tape. I could go on but you get the idea.
