Engine woes
My dad did some investigation on our knocking noise coming from the engine; turns out it was due to the rod bearings being bad.
Next step is to pull the engine and rebuild it.
The only good things with this are that 1) I get to learn how to rebuild an engine, and 2) we get to rebuild it with some mild performance increases.
My dad's not too worried; he rebuilt a 302 for a Mustang he used to have, and he said this wasn't going to be much different from that.
The big things, though, are coming up with the money for an engine rebuild, and finding a reputable machine shop here in San Diego to take it to.
