Before you drop the body ....
I did not, and later discovered that I should check them out ...
despite the fact that I really won't do anything at this point.
First, the rear shock bolts. These must be inserted from the outside,
with the nut on the inside of the upper rear shock bracket.
I'm 0 for 2 here, but with brand new shock, I won't have to cut these out any time soon.
Next, the long bolts that hold the automatic tranny crossmember.
These need to be inserted from the rear, with the nuts in the front.
If installed the other way, the bolts cannot be pulled out due to
interference with the floors.
These make it 0 for 4 ... again these can be cut when the time comes (long time).
Lastly - the parking brake pully bolt shoud be inserted from the inside/bottom.
If not, it cannot be removed due to location next to floors.
This one I had right - but if you have a removable crossmember (with bolts in right),
you can drop the crossmember down to get the pulley bolt out.
Oh well - learn from my ignorance.

Good seeing you and the rest of the crew Saturday.
Take care,
Mark

I would like to add...the ones I got "right" were pure luck!!
I never thought to check these. I guess I got what I consider to be the important ones right (the shocks). I don't anticipate ever taking the trans out and rebuilding it again
