Some guys swear by it and some hate the stuff. If you want to go chemical(as I do) get ont that is formulated for glass and get after it. It works on boats and there are a lot more old boats out there than old vettes.

I have razor bladed mine once and chem. stripped twice. I'd rather use a razor blade. However, if you do use chem. please use a mask or do it outside. It could ruin your lungs.

I used a razor blade on two coats of paint and two coats of primer and realized I had another four coats of each underneath. I went the chemical route and its a whole lot easier if you have a lot of paint layers. Razor blade was easy for a couple of coats but anything more than two im using chemical from now on. I used Bix in the black and white can.

if you do use chem. please use a mask or do it outside. It could ruin your lungs.
What kind of chemicals are you using? lol

If you use stripper, when you are done, make sure you wash the car thoroughly with soap and water to get the stripper off. Water neutralizes the stripper.

I chemically stripped my car twice with no paint failures caused by the chemicals used. Use a stripper that's made for fiberglass and you won't have a problem. Here's my writeup on stripping.
