Hi, I have been looking around for a cheaper vette to restore or fix, or just a project that will leave me with a nice car in the end. I came across this corvette about 2 months ago and am confused. I have not looked at it yet, but its close to me. I was just looking for some opnions on it. http://partsbyweller.com/rep/WRAutob...9606&Usernum=5 Just wondering if when I'm done if I will have a car that is a nice car, and still has some value. Thanks for all the help.

A lot of people but the first vette they see.... there are too many out there for that kind of decision.
So wait and walk away and you won't be kicking yourself later.
I would definitly walk from this one. Do some research about options and the various details that make each year different and see what you like? another decision point is, What is the last years for smog checks in your state... if you can get a vette that does not have smog then you can do what ever you like with it...Crate Motor, Sidepipes because of no cat converter...etc.
You did get a helluva deal on that CE...I just picked up a 79 Coupe for 800 bucks. Was a pretty good find, it wasn't a gem or a needle in the haystack, but it's a very workable car. It's my summer project before I go to college. The body is solid and in primer, only needs a few cracks worked and it's ready for paint. New T-tops, all new interior, and already have a motor waiting to go in it. It also had two new front tires and a fairly new (3 year old) TCI tranny from Jegs. Frame is solid too, as are the wheels. For 4900, I bet you can find a decent C3.
I've been wanting to do stuff to my 11k mile 92', but now I've found a new toy .

Eric, pass! The 78s are a little soft unless they are a pace car. With the front end damage the year and the other issues this car has it would be a good car for a Corvette bodyman for around $2-3K range. Good luck on your search, AL.
