He has been in business for many years, so he must do pretty good work. I think all he does is work on Vettes. I took my trailing arm out a few years ago and had him to set them up for me. Seems to have done a good job, and he is fairly reasonable. I ran into his son at an air conditioning class I took not too long ago. The father and son both are nice guys.
I've heard of them when I used to live up around them, but never anything on quality. If you have an engine related problem that you can't do yourself (rebuild or replace) you may want to check out "Performance Engines" in nearby Blountville. They take forever like any shop but they are reasonably cheap, the owner owns or used to own a vette and they always have one or two they are working on.
Any shop in the tri-cities area is a "hillbilly" shop.
